This book was originally a memoir of my experiences in the Silicon Valley.  Unfortunately, my attorney told me that I would be sued out of existence by major tech companies if I published it.  So, I turned it into a novel, changing names of people and companies, and mixing up what happened to which characters.  But, everything in The Silicon Lathe did happen.  I hope you enjoy this glimpse into the evolution of the Silicon Valley from a new arrival as he starts his career in an unexpectedly dangerous place.
